SINOPSIS

The book chapter “Green Business Innovation: Transforming Coffee Waste into Online Marketable Products” examines the rapid growth of global coffee consumption and its implications for the increasing volume of spent coffee grounds (SCG) waste. Traditionally, such waste has been treated as a low-value residue and disposed of in landfills. However, SCG possesses significant potential as an alternative resource within a circular economy framework, owing to its rich organic and bioactive composition. Accordingly, coffee waste is repositioned not merely as an environmental burden, but as a strategic input for sustainable innovation and value creation.

Conceptually, this book integrates the perspectives of green entrepreneurship, circular economy, and eco-friendly product innovation with practical, community-based implementation. A range of value-added products derived from coffee waste is explored, including natural body scrubs, organic fertilizers, aromatherapy candles, and other creative goods that combine functional and aesthetic value.
